Examination Pattern

For the H.S. level in Class XI and XII there will be a Two Unit Test examination and a Main Test Examination is conducted by college prior to the Final examination which is conducted by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council.
 
A) Unit Test -1 All subjects (50 marks)
B) Unit Test -2 All subjects (50 marks)
C) Main Test  and Final Examination, without practical 100 marks for 3 hours duration
D) Having practical, Theory 70 marks for 3 hours duration and practical 30 marks for 3 hours duration
 
 
Marks in class test will decided by the respective subject teachers
 
The University of Dibrugarh has introduced the Choice Base Credit System (CBCS).  In this System, for the students of BA and B.Sc classes the assessment of a student is through a scheme of Internal Assessment (IA) and a semester – End Examination . The semester- End Examination is (without practical) theory 80 marks of 3 hour duration and 20 marks for IA. In which has having practical 48 marks for theory of 2 hour duration, 32 marks for practical of 3 hour duration and 20 marks for IA.
 
 The internal assessment is a continuous evaluation with Two (2) Sessional Examination, Seminar, Group Discussion, Assignment, Regular Attendance, and Sincerity in all round activities of the students.
 If a student is absent in all Examination/ Tests/ Assignments of a course, he/she will be declared fail in IA of that course and not bonafide for submission of Application form for End Semester Examination.
 
 A student passes a Course (subject/ paper/ practical) if he/she scores a minimum of 40% in each course with a minimum of 40% in Internal Assessment (8 marks) & 40% in semester – End Examination.
 
 A student who has failed in a course(s) needs to appear only in the failed component(s). For Additional examination of IA, the student will be not required to submit assignments and others’
 
 A student will not be allowed to sit for any examination if he/she has not paid the College fees / dues.
 
 A student who is absent is required to submit an application to the principal within 8 days of the relevant examination other than End semester Examination, requesting permission for additional examination.
 
 Promotion from Present Semester to Next Semester will be as per rules of university.
