Internal Quality Assurance cell: (IQAC) The prime task of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the performance of institutions. The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) to institutionalize the process of quality enhancement and sustenance in all the key areas of its delivery. Objective of IQAC: To set quality benchmarks for all units and evolve mechanisms for monitoring and ensuring performance in accordance with them. To evolve and implement strategies for self-evaluation to sensitize all functionaries to be accountable for student and stakeholder satisfaction. To take steps for the periodic internal academic audit of the teaching-learning and research activities of all departments/faculties. To ensure in-service continuing education and training of all functionaries for enriching the intellectual capital and professional competence of the university. Accordingly, IQAC has been setup in the college with the Principal as its Chairman. The IQAC is the central point in implementation of the Quality Policy of the college and work for quality enhancement and sustenance by developing a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the performance of the college. Accordingly, the committee has one chief convener and member all departmental head of the college. IQAC establishes procedures and modalities to collect data and information on various aspects of institutional functioning with a view to ensure continuous improvement in all operations of the college. CAREER COUNSELING CELL The Career Counseling Cell has been providing career guidance to students since 2009. The cell also organizes personality development camps, motivational program and coaching programs for medical and engineering courses. WOMEN’S STUDIES CELL The College has an active Women’s Studies Cell, engaged in the study of various women-related issues and in providing regular seminar. Women’s’ Studies Cell actively involved in any unsocial and injustice against women’s. The prime aim of the Centre is the creation of a critical awareness and sensitivity towards women’s issues in every field. The following are the basic issues: Generating awareness towards women’s issues Gender sensitivity Women’s empowerment Legal rights of /for women THE CENTRE FOR Environmental STUDIES The Centre for Environmental Studies of the college regularly conducts environment education classes for students and carries out project works on various environmental issues, holds seminars and also organizes awareness programmes and holds social service time to time. SUPER-30 Super-30 is a programme where 30 Numbers of students is selected in zone wise from Assam belongs to underprivileged family for 11th Months free accommodation and coaching for cracking IIT entrance. This programme is completely supervised by Mr. Abhayanand the IPS officer of Bihar. In Assam Jonai Science College has been continuing the entrance examination of super-30 Entrance Examination in every year under sponsorship of Oil India Ltd since last 5 years. NCC The National Cadet Corps known as (NCC) is Youth Wing of Armed Forces with its Headquarters at New Delhi, India. The NCC in India was formed with the National Cadet Corps Act of 1948. It was raised on 15 July 1948, and it is open to school and college students on voluntary basis. National Cadet Corps is a Tri- Services Organization, comprising the Army, Navy and Air Wing, engaged in grooming the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens. NCC aimed to Develop Character, Comradeship, Discipline, Leadership, Secular Outlook, Spirit of Adventure, and Ideals of Selfless Service amongst the Youth of the Country. NSS The National Service Scheme (NSS) is an Indian government-sponsored public service program conducted by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of India. Popularly known as NSS, the scheme was launched in 1969. NSS is a voluntary association of young people in Colleges; Universities. The programme aims to instill the idea of social welfare in students, and to provide service to society without bias. National Service Scheme (NSS) is beneficial to both students as well as the society in various different means. It makes the students confident, develop leadership skills, and gain knowledge about different people from different walks of life..
